Catrina 5K - Walk - Run for Breast Cancer

 
 
Offbeat Catrina race in Ajijic supports Breast Cancer treatment.
Put on our athletic shoes and join the local alliance with Breast Cancer Awareness Month by signing up for the Catrina 5K – Walk/Run to De-Feet breast to be held Sunday, October 29th, in Ajijic.
            The five kilometre event trek for walkers and runners, is tied to a Day of the Dead theme, will set out from the Main Plaza in Ajijic at 8 a.m., down Colon  to the Malecon, west along the Malecon to Calle Aquiles Serdan,  up to the Carretera, west along the Carretera to the local cemetery, then looping in reverse to the Start/Finsh Line.
Participants are encouraged to add color and fun to the event by dressing up in costumes or face paint representing the Dia de Muertos Icon La Catrina.
            The sporting outing is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Ajijic A.C. in collaboration with Chapala’s Comude Sport Commission. Proceeds are destined to fund patient treatments through the FUNDACION SALVATI Guadalajara A.C. Breast Cancer Foundation.
           
            The registration fee includes a participant number, a commemorative tee-shirt, a medal  for all who complete the walk/run course, re-hydration along the course and at the finish line.
The Top Competitors Female and Male will receive cash prizes.
